Australia makes racing cars powered by solar power watch
The vehicles make a journey of about 3000 km
About 40 cars powered by solar energy in Australia participates inan international race to promote the use of alternative energies.
The start is the city of Darwin in northern Australia.
After a journey of 3,000 km, vehicles, teams representing 19countries, concluded the race in Adelaide in the south.
Fuel is not lacking, at least during the day. Temperatures canreach almost 50 degrees in some regions.
At night, no sun, car and team camp to resume the race the next day.
The race is held every two years. The first was in 1987, but theevent is becoming increasingly popular, with interest in sustainable energy and concern about global warming.
The record of evidence made the trip in a total of less than 30 hours.
